La Rose Large Scented Candle

A scented candle made as an ode to the rose in all its forms: wild on a garden hedge, freshly cut in tall glass vases, and heaped mounds of delicate dry petals. A tribute to Jeanine Balzac, grandmother of founder Elise Pioch, who used to wear Joy by Jean Patou and would fill her home with roses from the garden.

"My grandmother, Jeanine Balzac, used to wear Joy by Jean Patou and would fill her home with roses from her garden. She would dry the petals and keep them in glass jars. La Rose captures her deep love for this flower"- Elise Pioch Balzac

The first burn is the most important as it sets the burn memory. When lighting for the first time, ensure it is alight long enough for an even wax pool to develop to the edge of the vessel.
To ensure an even burn and the best scent throw experience, be sure to trim the wick to 5mm before each use.

After extinguishing the flame, make sure the wick stands upright in the centre of the vessel.
Never burn a candle for longer than 2 hours, or when the wax level reaches less than 2cm from the vessel base.

Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep away from draughts, children, pets, or flammable objects like curtains.
Always ensure candles are placed on a non-flammable base while burning.

THE INSPIRATION BEHIND THE SCENT

LA ROSE

Breathe deeply and inhale the feminine scent of fresh rose petals, inspired by our founder, Elise's, wander through her grandmothers garden of abundant rose bushes as a child.

PREMIERES BOUGIES

Our first collection of scented candles launched in 2012. They evoke a nostalgic, olfactive walk through a typical Sunday for our founder, Elise, when she was 8 years old in France.

THE VESSEL

The signature creamy white glass is a nod to Elise's grandmother Jeanine, who collected small milk coloured vases to fill her home with roses from the garden.

DID YOU KNOW?

Our original five scents were designed to recreate moments in Elise's early childhood in the South of France. La Rose describes all the roses that Elise's grandmother lovingly grew in her garden outside the kitchen window; Elise would smell them on her way to her grandmother's home in the afternoon.
